The KSA Curriculum is an innovative and bespoke educational model that empowers our pupils with the essential knowledge and skills needed to achieve their best outcomes. Each learning pathway delivers purposeful and engaging learning opportunities, specifically designed to meet our pupils' unique needs and drive their progress in key areas of learning.
Visions, Values and Missions
The Kingsley Learning Foundation Trust's Vision, Mission, and Values were developed in collaboration with our Kingsley families and staff. These principles guide every aspect of our curriculum, and all Kingsley staff are committed to providing our pupils with a curriculum that upholds and promotes these values.
Learning Pathways
At Kingsley, we recognise that our pupils learn in different ways, so it is essential to have a curriculum that meets the diverse needs of all learners. This pathway approach provides individualised learning experiences and access to meaningful opportunities. We follow a pathway-based curriculum consisting of three pathways.
Pathway 1, called "Explorers", focuses on the child's immediate surroundings, emphasising sensory experiences and active learning.
Pathway 2, known as "Adventurers", offers the foundational skills and knowledge necessary for subject-specific learning.
Pathway 3, our "Voyagers", engages in subject-specific learning. This broad offer supports our Voyagers in accessing learning adapted from the National Curriculum.
Long Term Planning
Our Long Term Planning outlines what pupils will learn and when. This approach ensures that all pupils experience a broad and balanced learning journey, with engagement and joy at its core. We organise our pupils into year groups, and the learning is sequenced to allow our learners to revisit key concepts and build on their prior skills and knowledge.
